Four steps. Zero surprises.
Consult
We talk through your space, style, materials and budget — in person or by video. Share photos and rough dimensions; we'll bring ideas. No pressure, no obligation.
Design
You get detailed drawings and material samples. Because our designs go straight from CAD to the CNC, what you approve is exactly what gets cut. We refine every dimension until it's right.
Build
Your piece is CNC-cut at ±0.001" and hand-assembled in our Sonoma shop, then finished to your chosen color and sheen — sprayed, stained or oiled.
Install
We deliver and install with precision, then walk the finished project with you to make sure it's flawless. We're not done until you say so.
Approved drawings become cut files.
Most shops re-measure and re-interpret at the bench. Ours doesn't. The drawing you sign off on is the literal file the machine cuts — so the island that arrives is the island you approved, to the thousandth of an inch.

Frequently asked.
Are your cabinets truly custom?
Truly custom. We don't work from fixed catalog sizes — every cabinet is designed and built to your exact dimensions, materials, hardware and finish. If you can dream it in wood, we can usually build it.
What's the difference between indoor and outdoor builds?
Indoor cabinetry uses premium hardwoods and veneers finished for interior life. Outdoor cabinetry is engineered for the elements — weather-rated materials and hardware that resist moisture, UV and temperature swings so they won't warp, rot or fade.
How does the CNC change what I get?
Our ShopSabre IS 408 cuts every part to ±0.001" and repeats it perfectly. That means tighter joinery, consistent reveals, and the ability to execute complex curves, inlays and carved detail accurately. We still hand-finish every piece.
Do you sell wall art and carving on its own?
Yes. Beyond cabinetry we design and carve standalone pieces — relief panels, topographic maps, slat walls, signage, mantels and commissions. See the Wall Art & CNC Studio.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope, materials and our current schedule. After our first consult we'll give you a realistic timeline before you commit to anything. Most custom kitchens run several weeks from approved drawings to install; wall art pieces often ship faster.
What does a custom project cost?
Every project is priced to its design, wood species, finish and complexity — so there's no flat price list. The consultation and estimate are free. Reach out and we'll give you a transparent quote.
Do you deliver and install?
Yes, throughout the Sonoma area and surrounding region. We handle delivery and precise installation, then walk the finished project with you. Traveling further? Ask us.
How do I get started?
Use the contact form or email us. Share a few photos, rough dimensions and what you have in mind — we'll take it from there.
The estimate is free.
The worst case is you walk away with drawings and a number. The best case is the room you've been picturing.
