No catalogs. No compromises.
Bear Flag Cabinet Co. is a custom shop in the heart of Sonoma — the town where California's Bear Flag was first raised in 1846. We pair old-world craftsmanship with a precision CNC platform, so every cabinet is engineered to your dimensions, your hardware, your finish — then cut, jointed, and built to tolerances most shops can't touch.
What We Build
Kitchens, islands, vanities, libraries and built-ins in premium hardwoods — fit to your space to the millimeter and finished to last a lifetime.
Grill surrounds, bar stations and storage engineered for sun, rain and temperature swings — weather-rated to never warp, rot or fade.
Our ShopSabre IS 408 cuts at ±0.001" with a 24,000 RPM tool changer — perfect joinery, complex curves and identical parts, every time.
Bespoke architectural carving — corbels, mantels, range hoods and panels. CNC-roughed for accuracy, hand-finished for soul.

Our Story
Bear Flag Cabinet Co. takes its name from the flag first raised right here in Sonoma — a symbol of California grit and independence. We set up shop to build for our neighbors, and invested in a ShopSabre IS 408 CNC so precision is never the thing that holds a design back.
That machine gives us a 65 × 100" cut area, a 24,000 RPM automatic tool changer, and repeatability to a thousandth of an inch — cleaner joints, tighter reveals, and complex designs that come out exactly as drawn. Then our hands take over for the finishing machines can't do.
Work With UsQuestions, Answered
Truly custom. We don't work from fixed catalog sizes — every cabinet is designed and built to your exact dimensions, materials, hardware and finish. If you can dream it in wood, we can usually build it.
Indoor cabinetry uses premium hardwoods and veneers finished for interior life. Outdoor cabinetry is engineered for the elements — weather-rated materials and hardware that resist moisture, UV and temperature swings so they won't warp, rot or fade.
Our ShopSabre IS 408 cuts every part to ±0.001" and repeats it perfectly. That means tighter joinery, consistent reveals, and the ability to execute complex curves, inlays and carved detail accurately. We still hand-finish every piece.
Yes. Beyond cabinetry we take on standalone architectural carving — corbels, mantels, range hoods, signage and decorative panels. CNC-roughed for accuracy, hand-finished for detail.
It depends on scope, materials and our current schedule. After our first consult we'll give you a realistic timeline before you commit to anything. Most custom kitchens run several weeks from approved drawings to install.
Every project is priced to its design, wood species, finish and complexity — so there's no flat price list. The consultation and estimate are free. Reach out and we'll give you a transparent quote.
